As the 1983 American Heritage Dictionary noted, fascism is: "A system of government that exercises a dictatorship of the extreme right, typically through the merging of state and business leadership, together with belligerent nationalism." (The US dictionary definition has gotten somewhat squishier since then, as all the larger dictionary companies have been bought up by multinational corporations.)

I'm a bit squidgy about the argument from dictionary fallacy, as I've seen it employed too often by wingnuts to silly ends.
Still, they are right. Specifically, Random House today I'm quite sure (I'll check at work tomorrow) doesn't have the exact same def it didn't 30 years ago...
On a related topic, you should read Neiwert's (Orcinus second to last post (made by Mrs. Robinson), as it talks about how corporate America can get away with these sorts of things in part because of the decline in civics education...
