Hey Lefty, UC and I went to the Independant Film Festival this weekend. We think you should put something together for the shorts. You could totally win and become a rock star!
I saw him once in Toronto at a seminar he gave. It was in an old Church and halfway through he demanded a 20 minute break. I went to the bathroom and just as I was coming back into the Church he started speaking from the podium.
I was stuck, I wasn't going to cross in front of him, he was intimidating, with the hair and the moustache and the eyes. Suddenly his mike cut out and he turned to yell at the guy, so I scooted past in front of him. But I have to bow at the Cross, can't help that, and he turned around a second before I bowed, and glared at me. Then I bowed (little curtsey thing) to the Cross and smiled at him. He continued to glare.
As I went back to my seat, everyone was smiling at me. I asked the girl next to me why, and she said that as I turned away from him and scurried back to my seat, he smiled a big beautiful smile at me.
I sometimes wonder if he thought I was bowing at him. ;)

I remember seeing him back at UMass. I suspect I got closer than Atrios did to him -- at least I have something on Dr. Black!
You saw Vonnegut at UM? AG saw Ginsberg at the University and was pretty impressed with herself until now...
Thanks Lefty!
Saw him too. And Jello Biafra.
I also saw Timothy Leary at RPI shortly before his death. "Trippy" (said like the "sxjnc" below)
Really?!
